El Galleon is one of Avalon’s long-running waterfront hangouts part casual beach town restaurant, part lively bar scene. Located right on Crescent Avenue facing Avalon Harbor, it has been serving visitors and locals since 1936 and is known for classic American comfort food, seafood, cocktails, and late-night karaoke.  

The atmosphere is relaxed and tourist-friendly. During the day, people come for burgers, tacos, chowder, steaks, seafood plates, and harbor views. At night, it becomes more energetic, especially on karaoke evenings, which are a big part of its reputation on Catalina.
